Grass, seed-bearing: A finite process that can be repeated.

A process in the world that proceeds in the same way and has a result through which the same process is repeated. That is, a self-reproducing process. An experience that has a concrete result, which can be repeated and experienced multiple times.

Genesis 1:11–13

The seed-bearing grass differs significantly from meadow grass because this process is not a fundamental condition of life, but a recurring process whose existence does not depend on life, although it is not present in the world without life.

The process has a beginning and an end, and is therefore also defined in time. At the end of the process, the seed appears, containing the entire process at the informational level.

The process proceeds in the same way under the same circumstances, and therefore can be repeated and brought about. Because of the seed, the process exists even when life is not present; as soon as the conditions are appropriate, the process begins from the seed, proceeds according to what happened previously, and the seed remains again, containing the entire process.

As a process, seed-bearing grass means that through repetition in time, the process can become known, and after coming to know it, we know what will happen even before it happens.

This is knowledge: when, through recurring processes, we recognize regularities and thus recognize the laws as well.

Recurring experiences make it possible for the intellect to recognize knowledge, so that it can assemble the laws appearing in the world from the information perceived. The laws recognized in this way become the knowledge of consciousness: definitions that have been supported and confirmed by experience.
